Saving lives by saving medicine.

— Adam Kircher, Co-founder
In the United States, approximately 11 billion dollars of unexpired, unopened medicine goes to waste every year.
SIRUM, a non-profit, helps pharmacies, manufacturers, hospitals, and individuals donate their unused medicine so that it can get to people in need.
Meeting the demands of a unique, privacy-sensitive system.
As SIRUM grew into the largest medication donation platform in the United States, their original systems for keeping track of donors, inventory, shipments, and drug details could no longer keep up.
They recognized that they needed custom tools, and that meant finding technical talent with experience in the pharmacy and HIPAA-compliant space.

A new suite of custom, HIPAA-compliant mobile and web applications.
Coordinating shipments from donors across 48 states.
SIRUM needed one central place where they could track and manage all the medication donations they receive. We built them a donation management app.

Making donations easy.
To give SIRUM’s donors’ as pleasant and swift a donation experience as possible, we built a portal that guides hospitals, pharmacies, nursing homes, and other organizations.

Streamlined medication sorting, processing, and inventory management.
SIRUM needed a way to integrate their SureSort equipment with their inventory management workflows so that their team could manage stock with maximum efficiency. For this we built them a set of integrated apps: an inventory web app that adds scanned medicine directly into their database and allows their team to easily edit associated details, a mobile app to help employees organize and shelve new stock, and a mobile app to expedite picking and filling outgoing orders.

Keeping tabs on NDCs, acceptance thresholds, prices, stock levels, recalls, and more.
SIRUM needed a way to manage all the details associated with each donated medicine. We built them a friendly, intuitive interface that allows them to update drug data as needed.
Minimalist, data-driven design.
We knew that for SIRUM’s purposes, the simpler the design, the better. We removed all extraneous visual details and ensured that each use of color or iconography signifies vital information.
