Making Civil Rights history more accessible.

The team behind The Civil Rights Tour app was small, but their vision was large.

They wanted people across the country to be able to learn about the history of their own cities, but they didn’t have the level of resources needed to hire that many content writers and narrators.
A way forward with AI.

A way forward with AI.

We built an AI-powered workflow that not only generates landmark scripts, but produces audio narrations as well–generating realistic voice-recordings.
Behind-the-scenes structure ensures quality and consistency.

Behind-the-scenes structure ensures quality and consistency.

We built a prompt template to standardize the length and style of each script, and provide a list of sources and additional readings.

Although all content is ultimately human-reviewed for the sake of accuracy, this workflow significantly cuts down on the time and money required to add new cities and landmarks to the app.
Future-proof content management

Future-proof content management

The Civil Rights Tour app started with just D.C., but has expanded to include Nashville, Tennessee; Detroit, Michigan; Atlanta, Georgia; and Birmingham, Alabama.

With the CMS we built, the Civil Rights Tour app team can now easily generate, upload, categorize, and edit new landmark content for all these cities and more.

Fresh clarity

We created a simple, professional style that pairs elegance with modern pop.

Learning from our past paves the way for a better future.

The Civil Rights Tour app shines a light on how African Americans across the country broke down barriers in the face of oppression. We’re glad to be helping make this history more accessible.
