Making designers’ lives a little easier.
While Meta has built some of the most widely used software in the world, they also occasionally need a little help building software for their own internal teams.
The Messenger and WhatsApp design teams at Facebook have a lot on their plate. They’re managing vast webs of workflows and a wide array of assets.
Our team came in to help by building them some custom design tools to integrate with the software they–and we–use: Figma.

Improving team communication.
One of the biggest headaches large design teams face is staying in sync. We built a plug-in that syncs Figma designs with Google Docs so that their design and content teams can now collaborate in real-time.

Streamlining routine tasks.
Facebook’s Messenger and WhatsApp design teams are constantly building–you guessed it–message designs. With the Conversation Generator Plugin we made for them, they can now quickly and easily populate their work with pre-set conversation bubbles, profile photos, and more, speeding up repetitive tasks.

Bringing designs to life with demo content.
Rather than having to manually add demo text and images to a design to see what it will look like, Facebook’s team now uses our Content Fill Plugin to automatically pull in pre-saved text and images.

Seamless theme switching speeds work–and makes it easier on the eyes.
Rather than having to create separate themes for every design asset, Facebook’s designers can now set theme colors and instantly switch between sets with the Theme Switcher Plugin we built them.
In addition to streamlining work, this also allows the designers to do their work in dark mode, which is easier on the eyes.
